As I have said before, one thing that I am not good at is letting other people know about the faith. Maybe part of that is because of the way I have always thought of approaching it. In other words maybe I have been going about ti all wrong. Father Robert Barron, talks about anContinueContinue reading “Another way to get the word out.”

It is Wednesday and I haven’t posted anything yet
It should come as no surprise to anyone who knows me, that I am spread a little thin. What might surprise some of you is that I stress about things like that a lot. A lot of stress is coming from my day job. There is nothing I can do to control that but IContinueContinue reading “It is Wednesday and I haven’t posted anything yet”
Suffering
I started this post a while ago, and I am sure at that at the time I had something very profound to say about it. Now that the post has been sitting in my draft queue for a while I am not sure what it was. Having said that, I think this statement stands onContinueContinue reading “Suffering”
Learning Latin
Last week I talked about taking a bigger role in home schooling our children. I started this process by spending some time in the mornings with my older boys. Mostly getting them started on the work that they needed to do, and adding a few things that they needed work on. (Essay writing for example.)ContinueContinue reading “Learning Latin”

Easter
I have been meaning to write a post about Easter for a few days now. I had honestly planned to write one before Easter, but well that just didn’t happen. What is done is done so I’m working on it now instead. I wanted to talk about my Easter experience but I think I wantContinueContinue reading “Easter”
In Support of The Priesthood
There is very little I can add to this so I won’t say much other than to say, I support the priests, I hope that at least one of my boys fells called to be a priest, and I hope by posting this that other young men might think of it as well.

Last Friday my wife and I finally got around to watching The Passion of The Christ. We have owned the movie since it came out on DVD in 2004 but it sat in the case waiting until now to be watched. Every year my wife and I would say, “this Lent we will watch it,”ContinueContinue reading “The Passion”
