Our Brother Joe is Dead.

Most boys didn’t get to come back from the war walking on their own two feet. Some of them came back, but they were mostly wrecks. But, most of them came back in boxes if they came at all. But not Joe. Joe came back into town with a smile on his face. He had gotten a lift from the station and the driver had dropped him off right at the edge of town. When we first spotted him, he was adjusting his uniform getting ready to make his big entrance.

Writing Challenge For The Space Minded.

As Douglas Adams reminded us, “Space is big…” To travel across the distances needed to get anywhere meaningful will take us a long time. Even our nearest planet, with our current technology, is going to cost of several months time.

I don’t believe that I will ever be as good a writer as C.S. Lewis, or as famous and rich as J.K. Rowling but I do hope to tell a good story, that is informed by my faith, without alienating those who do not believe as I do.
