Last year our “barn” such that is was, was really whatever cobbled together pieces of the various sheds that we have had over the years. This year we decided that we would build something better. We hope!

THE GOATS ARE GONE
The goats are going a bit of an extended field trip. One of our neighboring farms has an Agra-tainment business, and they asked to borrow some of our goats for their Fall season. If you are local and want to go visit our goats you can see them at STOKOE Farms

We try to let our goats out every day or every other day to get some grass and some exercise since out new bigger pen is still not completed. We talk about how the goats are doing, how they are growing and what our plans are for the them in the future.

This is a super short video, and just something I was having fun with as we moved the hay we just got for the goats the. Truck got as close as it could and we had to carry it from there.
The Goats get a new field.
The goats have outgrown their current enclosure so we need to put up a new one. The plan had always been to give them most of our back area, and we finally got around to putting up the fence to do that.
New Farm Animal Adventures.
My previous boss used to say, “every day is an adventure.” My reply was often something like, “Yes, but some days I wish were a little less adventuresome.”
Clarabelle FINALLY had her kids
We had one female goat (a doe), her name is Clarabelle, and she has been kind of a holdout. Well, last night, in the middle of the other chaos, she had her kids.
